October 1, 2010.  I got the call about 11:30 pm that my Mom had passed away.  I was paralyzed.  I won’t say sad was the correct term to describe what I was feeling.  I think it was more disbelief.  Her name was Millie and she was just shy of 78 years of age.  It was a turning point in my life.  And I will not look back.

“God has given you many gifts Paul”, she’d say, “you should make sure you use your talents.”  She was really proud of me.  She loved watching me perform in church, school and bands I was involved with.  But somehow I’d convinced myself that performing meant playing.  It was certainly wasn’t something I could do to a make money.  But I was so wrong.

On that day on October, 2010 I decided to rededicate myself to doing what I love to do.  And more importantly, using the gifts bestowed upon me by my Creator.  The past couple of years have been a magical experience!  And as I begin 2013, I know that so many more wonderful things are in store!  Thanks Mom for inspiring me to follow my heart as you always did!
